Why Work With Me to Get Actionable UX Research Insights?

Proven Record of Identifying Hidden User Segments

Even Fortune 500 companies make costly mistakes by not understanding who their users are and fail to cater to all relevant segments. I have helped multiple companies avoid churn by  finding  neglected segments.

UX Research Methods Expertise

Users often have a hard time  verbalizing their pain points. By combining research methods (ethnographic research, in-depth interviews, surveys, etc.) I can unearth the root causes and recommend impactful changes.

Domain Knowledge and Fast Learning

With a background in psychology, statistics, and personal finance, I have the domain knowledge to hit the ground running. More importanly, I can upskill in new areas to help you make confident decisions

Understanding Individual Limitations

Hi

I’m Agi,a UX Researcher in the Twin Cities (MN)

For more than a decade, I have been helping small and large companies (e.g., Walmart, US Bank, Google, PwC) to make confident strategic decisions.

My Approach

Understand the Problem

Via conversations with stakeholders, I seek to understand what they see as the business problem, and what they have attempted to do to solve it

Identify Gaps in Understanding

The first step is  understanding all the previous research and accumulated knowledge about the issue at hand. This may take the form of a literature review, a dive into the research repo, or, mostly, just talking to people with knowledge (stakeholders, team members, data scientists etc) .

Research with Constraints and Goals

Once the gap and the problem are identified, define the research question(s). Within the constraints (budgetary, time, etc.) pick the most fitting research method(s), define the target population and the best way to recruit participants.

Fast Research with Rigor

AI is used at research logistics (transcription, identifying relevant themes)  but I am committed to human-centric UX research – both in the way it is done, and with its professed goals. User experience is always human-centered.

On Empathy and why AI will never replace high-quality UX research

There’s no substitute for empathy—not in the doting sense of the term, but in the ability to perceptively inhabit other people’s psyches, and thus imagine what various stimuli will feel like to them. Brian Beutler I have been digging deep into AI the last 20 months or…

UX Reckoning – January 2025

Many UX professionals (myself included), rightfully, feel threatened by AI’s ubiquity. It is uncanny how long it has come in an extremely short time right before our eyes. I remember hearing about it at the Computer Science department where I used to teach, and I…
